FAQ

Delivery Questions

The delivery time for a custom-made trailer is typically 12-16 weeks.
If you choose a trailer from our existing stock, you can take it with you immediately.
Do you need additional services, such as designing and applying advertising stickers or installing equipment? We will ensure these are arranged as quickly as possible.

We can offer a home delivery service; however, we strongly recommend that you personally inspect and approve the vehicle before we deliver it. If you are unable to inspect it in person, we will provide videos and photos of the vehicle after completion to confirm acceptance with you.

If you are dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle after delivery, we can retrieve it for repairs, but the associated costs will be at your expense.

Regarding transport options, we offer two choices:

  1. Transport with a car and trailer: This option is more affordable, but the vehicle may get dirty during transport, and you will need to clean it yourself.
  2. Professional transport with a trailer: This option is more expensive but offers better protection and ensures the vehicle remains clean.

We aim to provide a transport solution that best suits your needs.

The delivery costs cannot currently be precisely estimated. You can make a preliminary calculation based on €1.50 per kilometer (excluding tolls or other road fees). The final costs will be determined based on the transport company’s quote.

We will collect the transport costs from you in advance. After the vehicle has been received and inspected, we will adjust the difference: any overpayment will be refunded, and any shortfall will be charged.

During the peak season, when production is very busy, delivery times may be longer. Therefore, we recommend that customers plan ahead and place their orders in a timely manner.

If the delay is caused by the factory and we are unable to deliver on time, we will provide a replacement trailer for temporary use. If the replacement trailer is equipped with additional equipment, a reasonable fee will be charged depending on the situation.

Product Usage

To extend the lifespan of your trailer and keep it in optimal condition, we recommend the following maintenance tips:

  1. Regular Cleaning:
Clean the interior and exterior of the trailer regularly with a mild cleaning agent. Avoid using harsh chemicals to prevent damage.

  2. Check the Tires:
Inspect the tire pressure monthly, ensuring it matches the manufacturer’s recommendations. Also, check for wear, cracks, or other damage, and replace the tires if necessary.

  3. Lubricate Moving Parts:
Regularly lubricate parts such as hinges and locks to prevent rust and sticking.

  4. Maintain the Electrical System:
Regularly inspect the wiring and plugs to ensure all electrical connections are functioning properly. If the trailer has a built-in battery, charge it regularly and avoid deep discharges.

  5. Ensure Ventilation:
If storing equipment or goods in the trailer for an extended period, provide proper ventilation to prevent moisture and mold.

  6. Protect Against Rust:
Regularly inspect the metal parts of the trailer for rust and treat any spots immediately. Rinse the trailer after exposure to salt (e.g., road salt in winter) and dry it thoroughly.

  7. Inspect the Brake System:
Frequently check the brake system, especially if the trailer is used often. Ensure that brake pads and the braking system are in good condition.

  8. Proper Storage:
When not using the trailer for an extended period, park it in a dry location and avoid extreme weather conditions. Use a trailer cover, if possible, to protect it from dust, rain, and sunlight.

  9. Professional Inspection:
Have the trailer inspected by a professional at least once a year. Check the chassis, electrical systems, axles, and other critical components.

  10. Follow the Manufacturer’s Manual:
Always refer to the manufacturer’s user manual and follow the recommended maintenance schedule.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure your trailer remains reliable and durable for years to come.

Warranty

We offer a standard warranty period of 12 months from the date of delivery. During this period, we cover any manufacturing or material defects.

The warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Structural defects in the trailer.
  • Issues with electrical systems arising from normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or accidents.
  • Normal wear and tear of parts, such as tires and brakes.
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow the maintenance schedule.

If you encounter an issue covered under the warranty, please contact us at info@foodtrailerclub.eu. We will conduct an inspection and, if necessary, arrange for repair or replacement.

Repairs or replacements covered under the warranty are free of charge. However, transport costs or additional services not covered by the warranty will be charged.

We provide on-site warranty service within a radius of 100 kilometers or a maximum of two hours driving distance from our location. Outside this radius, we can:

  • Offer remote technical support (e.g., via email, phone, or video guidance).
  • Assist in sending parts for local repair.
  • Dispatch a technician for an additional fee, if desired.

Within our service area (100 km or two hours driving distance), initial inspections and repairs covered under the warranty are free of charge. For locations beyond this range, we charge:

  • A travel fee based on the distance traveled (€1.50 per km outside the service area).
  • Any additional labor costs outside the standard warranty conditions.

We will always inform you of the costs in advance, allowing you to make an informed decision.

If your location is outside our service area, we offer the following options:

  • You can bring the trailer to us for repair.
  • We can send the necessary parts for you to carry out the repair locally.
  • For a pre-agreed fee, we can dispatch a technician to your location.
